The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddadstated this Wednesday (5) that the vote on LDO (Budget Guidelines Law) depends on the approval of two projects, which await analysis of the Congress National. The law establishes the guidelines that will guide the budget next year.
According to the minister, it is necessary for deputies and senators to approve the project of lei supplement that obliges the federal government to reduce gradually the benefits taxes, financial e credits in, at least, 10% until the end of 2026. The proposal is in the Chamber.
The economic team is also awaiting approval of the project on goods and real estate which included tax measures suggested by the government. The text has already been approved by deputies and awaits analysis by the Senate.
“It depends on Congress. We are waiting to vote on what remains to be voted on, which is the linear cut that was proposed by Congress to the President of the Republic. The linear cut was proposed by the two presidents [Davi Alcolumbre e Hugo Motta] on the table of the President of the Republic [Lula]. It’s depending on it. I believe that, after taking stock of everything, the budget and LDO will be voted on”, stated Haddad.
