Drivers’ World Cup

A few months ago, the scenario for the Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship seemed set. Oscar Piastri dominated the season after winning the Dutch GP, expanding his advantage over his teammate, Lando Norris, to 34 points — a difference consolidated after a mechanical failure that took the Briton out of the race.

more than a hundred points away and in third place, seemed out of contention. McLaren, on the rise, maintained the pace and secured its second constructors’ championship in Singapore.

But, while the British team was already looking to 2026, Red Bull was drawing up a different plan: to continue evolving the current car. The bet changed the course of the season.

Verstappen reacted, won three of the last four races and put his name back in the fight for the title. Piastri, on the other hand, saw his income plummet.

After collecting 14 podiums in the first 16 stages, the Australian now has four races outside the top 3 —.

Now, he occupies the lead in the competition with 357 points, followed by his partner Oscar — with one point less. Verstappen appears in third, with 321 points.

World Constructors

Among the teams, McLaren won its second World Constructors’ Championship in , with a wide advantage over its rivals — 713 points currently. Further back, , separated by just one point.

Red Bull, with 346 points, and Williams, with 111, close the top 5.
