A routine patrol by the Military Police ended unexpectedly on Wednesday night (5), when a vehicle sank into a crater in the Santo Afonso neighborhood, in Rio Branco. The video of the incident was published on social media by Júnior Nascimento and shows the car with its front submerged in the hole.
Residents of the region approached to observe the situation and record what happened. According to reports, the stretch of street had already had damage to the asphalt for some time, and the weight of the vehicle worsened the sinking of the ground.

Apparently, no police officers were injured. The case gained repercussion online due to the curiosity of the scene and the discussions about the conditions of the capital’s roads.
