What to do to enjoy the amazing aroma without any occasion gingerbreadbut don’t waste time preparing this time-consuming, traditional cake. Bake a simple one spice cake. You will make it on the basis butter and honeybe sure to add it too plum jam, cocoa, as well as cinnamon and gingerbread spice. The cake will be finished with a delicious chocolate icing with whipped cream and crushed walnuts.
Before you start baking, prepare the appropriate form. We recommend a baking tray measuring 20 × 30 cm.
To prepare this recipe, you will need:
- 125 g of butter,
- 150 g sugar,
- 2 tablespoons of honey,
- 2 tablespoons of plum jam,
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon,
- 2 tablespoons of gingerbread spice,
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa,
- 250 ml of milk,
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda,
- 3 eggs,
- 300 g of wheat flour,
- 100 g of dark chocolate,
- 100 ml of whipping cream (30%),
- 100 g chopped walnuts.
Melt the butter in a pot (on a low heat). Mix them with sugar and honey. When they dissolve, mix plum jam, cinnamon, gingerbread spice and cocoa into the mixture. Heat for a while, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to bring the mixture to a boil.
Remove the pot from the burner and let its contents cool slightly. Pour milk into a pot, add baking soda and eggs beaten with a fork. Stir the mixture vigorously – it should become foamy.
Without stopping mixing, sift the flour into the mixture in batches. Mix until ingredients are combined.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured 20×30 cm baking tin. Align.
Put the form in the oven preheated to 180°C. Bake for about 50 minutes – until the stick is dry.
Crumble the chocolate into the pot and pour in the heavy cream. Heat on a low heat, stirring occasionally. Cool the icing and pour it over the cooled cake. Sprinkle the nuts evenly on the icing.
