The Angolan flag company explains that the efforts of the airport health services, as well as the expertise of the Mozambican investigation authorities, were carried out on board, in order to collect evidence about the causes of death.
An Angolan passenger died today on board a Linhas Aéreas de Angola (TAAG) flight between Luanda and Maputo, the company said in a note of condolence.
“TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola fulfills its duty to inform that during flight DT 5781, carried out in the early hours of November 8th to Maputo, we recorded a medical emergency on board reported by a passenger of Angolan nationality, an adult and who was accompanied by her husband,” TAAG said in a statement.
The company adds that, “regrettably, the competent medico-legal authorities in Mozambique ended up declaring the passenger dead at the scene”.
