26 years at the top: Former APA boss Wolfgang Vyslozil turns 80

Vienna – When he retired in 2008, he was the longest-serving agency head in Europe: Wolfgang Vyslozil was at the helm of the APA – Austria Press Agency for a full 26 years and turned the news agency into a profitable company after a 40-year struggle for survival. He was proud that political influence had played “not the slightest role”. On Wednesday (November 12th) Vyslozil turns 80 years old.
