Manavgat – Defending champion Magdalena Lobnig won silver in the Olympic beach sprint at the Coastal Rowing World Championships in Manavgat, Turkey. The 35-year-old from Carinthia made it to the final on Sunday, but lost to New Zealander Emma Twigg. Three weeks ago, Lobnig secured the European title at the same location. The recent arrival of the 2021 Olympic bronze medalists in the flat water single sculls to Turkey was turbulent due to passport problems. (APA, red, November 9, 2025)
