A parade of actors dressed as animals was held on Monday afternoon (10.Nov.2025) during the (30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change). The event took place in the so-called Green Zone, an area that houses the pavilions of companies and entities, and was part of the inauguration of the Ministry of Tourism’s stand at the event.
Minister Celso Sabino (Tourism) was present at the parade called Bicharada de Juaba, which is traditionally held in Vila de Juaba, in Cametá (PA). The objective of the demonstration is to reinforce the connection between nature, culture and sustainability. Curupira, a character from Brazilian folklore, was also represented by one of the costumes.
“We want every visitor to COP30 to feel the energy of this biome and understand that sustainable tourism is an effective way to guarantee development and protection of the forest”stated the minister. The act was shared on social media and videos show the parade of actors dressed as animals among visitors who passed by the place.
