If you want to ski, you can take an Uber directly to the mountains in some countries.

Uber has a seasonal feature to take skiers to the slopes directly. Customers can now be transported to more than 40 ski resorts across the United States and Europe.

With , users can also join the Vail Resorts Epic Pass, one of the most popular passes among skiers and snowboarders, allowing unlimited access to several renowned resorts, such as Vail and Breckenridge in Colorado, Park City in Utah, Heavenly in California and Whistler Blackcomb in Canada.

In Europe, the service is available in seven countries: France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Poland, Spain and Sweden.

Currently, the main pass costs $1,121 (964 euros) for an adult, a value that tends to rise as the opening of the season approaches. Although there are smaller passes with limited days in the mountains, purchasing through the Uber app does not offer additional benefits. After the Epic Pass sale period, users will still be able to purchase regular tickets for any Vail station directly in the app.

Originally launched in 2019, Uber Ski emerged as a special option in the application to ensure that vehicles can reach stations and transport bulky equipment such as skis and snowboards. The service has since expanded to include locations across Europe. All trips can be booked up to 90 days in advance.

This functionality is part of Uber’s strategy to diversify and offer premium services. In addition to Uber Ski, the application offers options such as, for groups of up to six people, Uber Premier, with luxury vehicles and, for transporting pets.
