Austria is “no longer competitive in terms of price,” says economist in “ZiB2”


Austria’s economy is not getting going. Gunter Deuber explained the reasons for this on Monday ZiB2 quickly listed with Armin Wolf: lower exports, lack of investment, decline in private consumption and a lack of trust in the location. The chief analyst at Raiffeisenbank International sees the reason for this in the wage policy of the past. He doesn’t expect a light at the end of the tunnel until 2027. This is not good news for industries that are already weak.
