DIGI has new channels

CMTV and NOW enter the channel grid of the most recent operator in Portugal. Television package costs 12 euros per month.

From the moment a little over a year ago, one of the “suspicions” of consumers was related to available television channels on the new operator’s grid.

This Monday, Digi announced two “weighty” reinforcements: CMTV e NOW become available. CMTV is on channel 8, NOW is on channel 9.

The two channels, a “long-awaited launch” according to the company’s statement, were already added to the DIGI TV channel grid this Monday.

The two channels, focused on information, are from the Medialivre group. The CMTV channel leads – by far – the audiences among cable channels, while the recent NOW is one of the 10 most watched channels, surpassing, for example, RTP Notícias.

The new channels are included in what it costs 12 euros per month; the inclusion of these channels does not increase the value of the package, which is approximately 80 channels.

Outside of this package, Porto Canal or Sporting TV continue, and the possibility of accessing the channels Sport TV, DAZN, BTV, among others.

In August, Digi took stock of its operations in Portugal: the Romanians are still there. The accounts are not yet balanced but the result has been rising: revenues of 35 million euros in the first half of the year, with average revenue per user of 7.1 euros.

In terms of coverage, Digi’s objective is to reach half of the country (and have more customers) by the end of this year, or by the beginning of 2026.

There are almost 800 thousand customers at Digi: 420 thousand for mobile service and 144 thousand for broadband internet.
