The Secretary of Public Security of São Paulo, licensed, and federal deputy (PP-SP), stated this Thursday (20) that the federal government did not contact him to discuss the issue. In an exclusive interview with Jovem Pan, on the program Os Pingos nos Is, Derrite stated that “in the 15 days that I stayed in Brasília, the federal government did not contact me at any time”. According to the deputy, members of federal institutions made suggestions for the text “in secret”.
Derrite analyzed that the government’s removal from the debate on the text was a mistake, after the initial criticisms over its choice by the president of the Chamber Hugo Motta to report on the topic and that it was only contacted on the day of the vote, but that no one was received because “it would not be able to”. He also stated that the few suggestions given by the federal government were met. The deputy criticized the original text presented by the Lula government and called it “weak”.
