A reported this Thursday (20) that the House was not notified about the departure of the federal deputy (PL-RJ) from the country. Former director of the Brazilian Intelligence Agency (Abin) during the government, Ramagem was sentenced in the criminal action for the coup plot to 16 years in prison and is free to appeal. During the investigation, Ramagem was banned by the minister from leaving the country and had to surrender all national and foreign passports.
According to the Chamber, the presidency of the House, which is exercised by the deputy (Republicanos-PB), was not communicated about the parliamentarian’s removal from national territory nor did it authorize any official Ramagem mission abroad.
The House also reported that the deputy presented medical certificates covering the periods between September 9th and October 8th and October 13th to December 12th.
Prison

The deputy’s supposed escape occurs at a time when the end of the coup proceedings and the execution of the sentences of the deputy and the other defendants, including former president Jair Bolsonaro, are approaching.
Last week, the defendants in Core 1 had their appeals against their conviction denied by the First Panel of the Court. With the decision, the defenses must file the last appeals in the next few days to avoid immediate enforcement of the convictions.
Ramagem’s defense informed that it will not comment.
