Fire hits community in the south of SP and leaves 80 homeless

A fire of great magnitude hit, on the night of this Thursday (20), a community located on Avenida Pedro Bueno, in Campo Belosouth zone of São Paulo. The flames started at around 7:24 pm and spread quickly through the area.

According to the PMESP Fire Department (Military Police of the State of São Paulo), the fire consumed around 1,000 square meters. 19 vehicles were involved in the incident, which ended around 1am this Friday (21). According to the folder, there were no victims.

They were taken to the headquarters of the community’s Residents’ Association, where they receive assistance from CPAS (Social Emergency Care Coordination), responsible for registering families to qualify for the Social Card.

The Military Police and CET (Traffic Engineering Company) also took part in the incident, helping to isolate the area and organize traffic. The region remains monitored due to the risk of reignition.
