The Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, will host an event on sustainable tourism this Thursday (20) evening with representatives from 15 countries on five continents.
The meeting was questioned after the meeting at the headquarters in the afternoon, but, with the situation under control, it ended up being confirmed. It will take place in a hotel in the capital of Pará, far from the Blue Zone, which caught fire.
Sabino chairs the Tourism Executive Council and will promote the event, called “Global Amazon Meeting – Leadership for the Future of Sustainable Tourism”. Members from countries such as China, Australia, Uganda, Japan, Canada and the United Arab Emirates participate.

The objective is to discuss common goals and actions for sustainable tourism. The group, with 29 Member States, will be responsible for proposing environmental solutions integrated into the tourism agenda.
More than 25 mayors from the Amazon and civil society also participated in the meeting.
