Siberia Bridge will be inaugurated this Friday and transforms Xapuri's urban connection

The city of Xapuri is experiencing a moment that has been awaited for decades. This Friday (21), the Siberia Bridge will be officially inaugurated, a project considered one of the biggest infrastructure milestones in the region and which promises to transform mobility, boost economic development and definitively connect the urban center to the traditional Siberian neighborhood. The bridge represents a symbol of integration. The promise is that the new connection will facilitate daily travel, reduce access time to essential services and strengthen local agribusiness, especially in the flow of rural production.

The team at ContilNet will be in Xapuri to follow the inauguration directly from the site, providing complete coverage in real time.

The delivery of the bridge ends months of intense work. According to the Acre Highway Department (Deracre), the construction mobilized around 70 workers in the final phase. With 363 meters in length and an investment that exceeds R$40 million, the work was financed by a R$15 million amendment from Senator Marcio Bittar and R$25 million from the State Government.

During recent inspections, Governor Gladson Cameli stated that the inauguration symbolizes a response to critics who doubted the project’s delivery. For him, the work enshrines a basic right of the population. “We are complying with what is in the Constitution: guaranteeing the right to come and go,” he declared.

Expectations for delivery are high. Deracre estimates that the bridge will directly benefit more than 5,000 residents, who for years depended exclusively on ferries or limited traffic to cross the river. For the president of the body, Sula Ximenes, the conclusion demonstrates commitment and responsibility to the people of Acre. “Deracre is fulfilling its mission and delivering a historic work to Xapuri and the Siberia neighborhood,” he stated.

With the inauguration scheduled for this Friday (21), Xapuri is preparing to begin a new phase. The Siberian Bridge not only brings communities together, it opens paths for development, integration and opportunities that should mark the future of the municipality.
