Prosecutor Cássio Roberto Conserino detailed the process of possible judicial intervention at Corinthians, following investigations into the use of corporate cards at the club. The measure was suggested through a representation sent to the Public Social Heritage Prosecutor’s Office.
The proposal aims to decree the figure of a provisional intervener. This professional would aim to clean up, correct and reestablish the direction of the sports entity.
Decision-making process
According to Conserino, , which will also be responsible for determining the intervenor. In the event of a decision in favor of intervention, the judge will limit the powers of the intervener, establishing a temporary trajectory for his actions.

If the intervention is approved, there is the possibility of dismissal of the club’s current board of directors, as long as this is provided for in the court decision. Conserino highlighted that it is not possible to establish a defined deadline for the conclusion of the process, due to the variables involved, such as the demand from the responsible civil court and the volume of work of the prosecutor’s office.
