The country was behind the English Premier League (R$7 billion), the French Ligue 1 (R$4.8 billion), the Portuguese League (R$3.7 billion) and the Spanish La Liga (R$3.7 billion). See ranking below:

The study also compares the revenues of the world’s main leagues on different fronts: broadcasting rights, marketing and matchday, a category that includes box office, boxes, food and stores in the stadiums.

In this last aspect, the USA dominates. Of the five leagues with the highest matchday revenue, four are American. The MLB, a baseball league, leads with almost R$24 billion raised in 2025. The NFL, which started to play games in Brazil, comes next, with R$22.6 billion. Then come the NBA (R$18.3 billion), the NHL (R$16.7 billion) and the Premier League (R$6.5 billion). The Brasileirão occupies 11th position, with R$7.56 billion.

In broadcasting rights, Brazilian clubs generated R$3.24 billion and ranked 10th. NFL (R$64.8 billion), NBA (R$23.7 billion), Premier League (R$22.6 billion), MLB (R$15.1 billion) and La Liga (R$10.8 billion) form the top of the ranking.

Brazil’s worst performance is in marketing: Series A appears only in 14th place, with R$1.6 billion. Leading the way are the NFL (R$13.5 billion) and the Premier League (R$12.9 billion), followed by MLB (R$9.7 billion), Bundesliga (R$8.6 billion) and NBA (R$8.1 billion).
