FBI Director Kash Patel said Thursday that the suspect in the shooting of two U.S. National Guard members worked in Afghanistan with partner forces.
“We are thoroughly investigating this aspect of his background, including any known associates who are overseas or here in the U.S., which is what appears to be a broad international terrorism investigation,” Patel said at a news conference.
