No party in my house can be held without a salad with ham and pineapple. My mother already made it in the 1990s, and I continue this tradition. Guests always like it and it disappears from the table as one of the first ones.
It must be admitted that the 90s had their own unique atmosphere, also when it comes to cuisine. Vegetable soup, pickles, eggs in various versions, tartar sauce, cold legs – these are real classics from the appetizer repertoire of those years. We also cannot forget about the brightest star, the salad with ham and pineapple.
This recipe is very simple, effective and, just like then, it disappears from plates in no time. The sweetness of pineapple perfectly combines with meat, corn and delicious dressing.
Although times have changed, one thing has remained the same – salad with ham and pineapple is still one of the most popular party appetizers. So if you are looking for an idea of what to prepare for St. Andrew’s Day, this recipe is a must-have. Empty bowl guaranteed.
