Alcoholic train driver from Italy stopped in Tyrol

Hall in Tirol – A heavily drunk Italian railcar driver from a private logistics company was stopped by the ÖBB dispatcher on his freight train in Hall in Tirol (Innsbruck-Land district) on Wednesday afternoon and reported to the police. Among other things, the 50-year-old ignored a protective signal and simply continued his journey. Ultimately, the power had to be switched off in order to stop the train.
