San Francisco is suing several food giants

San Francisco – The US city of San Francisco is taking food giants to court over the sale of highly processed industrial finished products. These so-called ultra-processed foods (UPF) often contain sugar, salt, fats, industrial starches and additives such as emulsifiers, colors or flavorings. Coca-Cola, Pepsico, Kraft Heinz, Mondelez, WK Kellogg and Mars are among those being sued.
