According to the organization’s secretary general, Mark Rutte, two thirds of members have guaranteed that they will send weapons
The secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Mark Rutte, said this Wednesday, 3, that two thirds of member states have committed to supplying weapons to Ukraine through the so-called Ukraine Priority Requirements List (PURL), which has already guaranteed commitments worth US$4 billion.
“I heard that Australia and New Zealand will also contribute to PURL, being the first NATO partners to do so,” Rutte told reporters in Brussels, according to Reuters.
At a press conference, the secretary-general highlighted the continued threat posed by Russia, its war against Ukraine and reckless actions against NATO, including airspace violations and cyberattacks.
