George Washington de Oliveira Sousa, Alan Diego dos Santos Rodrigues and Wellington Macedo de Souza were denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR).
The minister of ,, voted to make defendants of the three men accused of setting up a bomb at Brasília airport, at the end of 2022. They were denounced by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) George Washington de Oliveira Sousa, Alan Diego dos Santos Rodrigues and Wellington Macedo de Souza.
According to the PGR, they participated in the action designed by a group that planned and used an artifact to commit crimes after not accepting the results of the 2022 elections, which elected President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
The accused, who had already been convicted by the Federal District (DF), for crimes of explosion, fire and possession of firearms without authorization, are tried for:
- Armed criminal association;
- Attempt to violently abolish the Democratic Rule of Law;
- Coup d’état;
- Attack on air transport security.
The trial began this Friday (12) in the virtual plenary of the Supreme Court, when votes are entered into the electronic system, and ministers can present their statements until December 19th. Moraes is part of the First Round of the Federal Supreme Court and is the case’s rapporteur. Cármen Lúcia, Cristiano Zanin and Flávio Dino also analyze the case.
