The death of Adam affected, among others, the well-known Slovak musician and folklorist Štefan Štec. “I registered Adam only on social networks until the summer of 2025, as a person who loves folk clothing in its original beauty, has an unusual reverence and respect for it. When I started preparing the gala program for Východná, I knew that I wanted to devote one part to wedding costumes from all over Slovakia. And that’s when I received a recommendation for Adam,” he recalled.
He called the young man and he enthusiastically set about fulfilling Štec’s idea. “After the program, when people were already at home or having fun at the stands, Adam still put away and packed every single part so that it wouldn’t get damaged and kept its shape, just like it used to be done. After the rehearsal, even before the People’s program, he ran to the dressing room, so he just nodded to me and said that it would be good. He ran to prepare costumes and dress the youngsters one by one,” he continued.
“You didn’t see Adam on stage, but there was his tireless work and love for the folk art he loved. Adam, thank you. I’m just sorry that we couldn’t sit and enjoy the beauty for a while. Happy birthday to you and mom,” the artist bequeathed to heaven. He also expressed his sincere condolences to the survivors and the family.
The creators of the Party in the 21st century project are also mourning the man. They collaborated with Adam on two paintings and, according to them, a great, clever and talented person left. “The tragic news deeply affected us. We are left in shock and are struggling to find words. We ask why this had to happen? We will miss you, your valuable advice, knowledge about costumes, and the insight into history that you enriched us with. We are extremely sorry. Rest in peace,” they wrote in a touching post on Facebook.
