Senator Cleitinho Azevedo (Republicanos-MG) says he does not know the advisor linked to the former president who was this Friday (12).
The testimony of the senator and other parliamentarians based the minister’s decision, which ordered search and seizure against Mariângela Fialek, known as Tuca.
Tuca’s defense, who is currently an advisor to the PP leadership, said that her work is technical and denied irregularities.
In contact with the column, the senator reaffirmed the statement he gave to the Federal Police and which appears in Dino’s decision. He said he was called to be heard after mentioning in the plenary that there were lobbyists in the House who sought to negotiate parliamentary amendments.
To the delegate, he stated that he was approached by two men who said they were members of NGOs from the North of the country who were interested in an “amendment partnership”.
In his testimony, Cleitinho said he had confronted his interlocutors about being from Minas Gerais, not from a northern state, at which point the lobbyists would have left the place.
“The deputy asked ‘do you have any proof of anything?’ I said, there’s nothing. What did I say there [no plenário] It was based on the Fantástico report and what I see. And I think this secret amendment issue is absurd.”, said Cleitinho.
The PF also heard federal deputy José Rocha (União-BA), who in his testimony said he had been pressured by Lira to release amendments when he was president of the National Integration commission.
In his testimony, he reports having heard from the then President of the House in a call that he was “creating problems” by not releasing a shipment of R$320 million to Alagoas, Lira’s stronghold.
“I told him [na ocasião] that his father was my colleague, whom I respected a lot, but that he didn’t deserve my respect”, Rocha told the column.
When contacted through the consultancy, Lira did not comment on the operation.
