In the village of Nižná Rybnica in the district of Sobrance, an incident occurred shortly before midnight on Thursday (December 11), in which one person was seriously injured. After the physical attack, she had to be hospitalized in a life-threatening condition. As reported by the Košice regional police on the social network, the suspect was detained and placed in a police custody cell.
“After carrying out the necessary procedural actions, the investigator of the criminal police department of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Košice charged one person with the particularly serious crime of attempted murder,” the police said, adding that the accused person is currently in custody.
Both persons were under the influence of alcohol and the verbal exchange resulted in a physical conflict. The police added that the investigation continues and all the circumstances of the act will be subject to further evidence
