An unusual moment marked the half-time of the meeting between Moreirense and Benfica, played last Sunday in Moreira de Cónegos, counting for the 14th round of the I League, which ended with a 0-4 victory for the Reds.
During the break in the game, the irrigation system at the Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas Stadium was activated, but the water was not confined to the pitch. Some sprinklers ended up directly hitting an area of the central stand where exclusively Benfica fans were present.
Surprised by the unexpected “shower”, several fans were forced to temporarily abandon their seats, moving away from the affected area until the situation was resolved by stadium officials.
€225 M for this one?
No, it will be much more, even fans will be treated to a swim in December. What more to ask for?
