Magdeburg – Around a year after the attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg, a 21-year-old was arrested in the city in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt for suspected attack plans. The young man from Central Asia – no further information about his origins is available – was taken into custody on Friday, the state Ministry of the Interior said on Monday. “The detention took place in order to prevent the plans to attack large crowds that he expressed from being carried out.”
