Louvre employees’ strike ended: museum reopens

Paris – After two days of strike, during which the Louvre Museum in Paris was only partially open, the employees have ended their protest for the time being. The museum was open normally on Friday, the unions and museum management said. The unions had called for a strike to protest against working conditions. Since then, the Ministry of Culture has committed to forgoing a planned funding cut of 5.7 million euros.
