The most recent round of the Genial/Quaest survey, released this Friday (19), shows a picture of widespread distrust among the population in relation to the main institutions of the Republic, with negative evaluations concentrated mainly in the Executive and the Judiciary.
According to the survey, the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) appears as the most poorly evaluated power at the moment. In total, 38% of those interviewed classify the federal government’s actions as negative, while 34% give a positive assessment. Another 25% consider the performance to be average. The result keeps the Executive at the top of the rejection ranking among the Powers evaluated.
Next comes the Federal Supreme Court. The Court records 36% negative evaluations, compared to 33% positive and 24% regular. Despite the high level of rejection, the STF was the institution that showed the biggest fluctuation since July 2025.

At that time, negative reviews totaled 32%, while positive reviews stood at 23%. In five months, the approval rating rose 10 percentage points, signaling a partial recovery of image, although insufficient to reverse the negative balance.
The National Congress has maintained a more stable situation over the last few months, but also marked by unfavorable evaluations. In the Senate, 33% of those interviewed classify the performance as negative, 22% as positive and 34% as regular. The Chamber of Deputies records 36% negative evaluations, 20% positive and 35% regular.
In the aggregate reading, considering the sum of negative and regular evaluations, the Chamber appears as the institution with the worst public perception among the four analyzed. The data suggests not only rejection, but also a high degree of indifference or lack of confidence, reflected in the high percentage of responses that classify performance as regular.
The Genial/Quaest survey interviewed 2,004 people between December 11th and 14th. The confidence level is 95%, with a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.
