In an interview with reporter Monique Arruda, from LeoDias portalthe very experienced woman spoke about the importance of maintaining preparation even after more than 20 years at Avenida and compared the dedication required to that of a professional athlete.
“Can I tell you something? We have to do it like athletes. Those who are into samba do it all year round. There’s no way
to stop. And I have several teachers. In each place I have a teacher. I have Dandara [Oliveira] in Rio. I have the boys too. Victor [Hugo Allonzo] Marcus [Prado]. There are a lot of people”, he began during the school rehearsal, this Friday (12/19).

highlighted that, just as the other members of the associations also spend the year rehearsing for the parade, the muses and queens must also follow the same routine. The presenter even joked about the impact of the period away from activities: “We are always learning. And we can’t stop training. If you stop, you get rusty.”
“Me, from one Carnival to the next, I get rusty. We’re always training. It’s like a marathon runner. It’s like an athlete. It’s like someone who’s running. And it’s the same way that the drums are always coming out. All the schoolmates”, added Sabrina, who also talked about her look for the rehearsal: “I like to put myself together for the community!”
“I think Carnival deserves it, people deserve it. I already like to dress up on a daily basis. Carnival arrives then, guys. I’m that person who wears a costume all night, you know that. Basically that’s it. And people have to understand”, he concluded.
