The first day of winter brought snow to mainland Portugal. From Vila Real to Guarda, several villages woke up painted white and the images are impressive.
This Sunday, several districts in the north of the country after a large snowfall fell during the morning.
The districts of Guarda, Castelo Branco, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Braga and Viseu were under orange warning until 9:00 am.
IPMA also decided to issue yellow warnings for four districts – Braga, Bragança, Viana do Castelo and Vila Real – what vThey will not be active between 9pm this Sunday and 12pm on Monday.
It is, therefore, likely that images like these will be repeated again.
