The former president () was taken to the operating room to undergo a correction this Thursday morning (25). The information was released by former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro shortly after 9:15 am.
The procedure, carried out at the DF Star hospital, in Brasília, should last around four hours.
Inguinal hernia is a condition in which tissue in the abdomen swells and causes a bulge to appear in the groin area. Bolsonaro was admitted the day before, on Christmas Eve, to undergo pre-operative tests, which confirmed that the former president was ready to undergo surgery.

Birolini also stated that, in the coming days, the convenience of a non-surgical intervention to contain those affecting Bolsonaro will be evaluated.
