Santa Clara (California) – According to a media report, Nvidia wants to take over the developer of AI accelerator chips Groq for 20 billion dollars (16.97 billion euros). The US broadcaster CNBC reported this on Wednesday. The takeover should take place in cash. The deal would be Nvidia’s largest acquisition since its $6.9 billion purchase of Mellanox Technologies. Groq is a chip start-up founded by Jonathan Ross that specializes in AI inference chips.
