Adéla Knapová made the decision to travel to Ukraine quite spontaneously. On February 24, 2022, when Russia launched its full-scale invasion. As the Czech journalist later said on the occasion of a visit to Vienna, she was standing in front of the television and “had the feeling that the world was exploding around her.”
