Vienna – The number of asylum applications in Austria has fallen significantly in the past two years. However, the relationship between the genders has also changed since last year. While in 2023 not even a quarter of the applications were submitted by women, in 2024 it was a good 42 percent and this year in the first eleven months more than 41 percent.
