The occurrences of robberies in general in the capital, including cargo and bank robberies, reached 91,008 in the first 11 months of the year, a drop of 13.5% compared to the same period in 2024. There was a reduction in every month since July.
In the specific case of vehicle thefts, there was a decrease of 18.4%, also reaching the lowest mark in history.
At the same time, thefts in general, which include cargo thefts, increased by 4.2% in the first 11 months of the year, rising from 221,057 to 230,050. Despite this, vehicle sales fell by 8.2%.
In the case of the state of São Paulo as a whole, there was a 15.7% drop in robberies, from 177,495 to 149,524 occurrences.
