The police informed the Brazilian authorities that they found the electronic ankle bracelet of the former general director of the PRF () Silvinei Vasques in the bathroom of the municipal bus station in Cidade do Leste.
The authorities, however, did not disclose the circumstances under which the ankle bracelet would have been taken to that location. The former director general was arrested last Friday (26) in Paraguay while trying to escape, according to .
The device was found shortly after 4am on Monday (29), according to police records in the neighboring country.
The Paraguayan police letter contains information such as the barcode of the electronic ankle bracelet, the company that manufactured the device and the equipment number at Anatel.
The report found that the device was sent to the Tripartite Command, where procedures will be carried out to return it to the Brazilian authorities.
Silvinei was arrested at Asunción airport when he tried to board an international flight to El Salvador with a false Paraguayan passport. Silvinei would have used a rented car to leave the building where he lived, in the city of São José (SC), towards Paraguay.
According to members of the PF, when the equipment was broken, the corporation contacted the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court), and preventive detention was ordered.
