The cash found by the PF () at addresses linked to the government leader in , (-BA), exceeds by R$ 134 thousand the daily values paid by the Senate for trips made by the parliamentarian during the current term.
In an interview with Band News TV, according to the PF, these are amounts paid by the Senate to cover daily expenses, mainly for trips abroad.
According to data from the Federal Senate website, from 2019 to now, the senator spent almost R$337,000 on daily allowances. The amount was reimbursed by the House.
But this Thursday (18), at addresses linked to the senator,: US$55 thousand and 33.5 thousand euros, which totals just over R$471 thousand.
In the interview, the senator stated that he received part of the Senate and bought another part to carry out the trips.
“I received approximately US$70,000 per day and, other times when I went traveling, I bought, via Banco do Brasil, where I have an account, dollars or euros to make the trips. So I have nothing to hide,” he stated.
The senator’s office confirmed that the difference in values found in Wagner’s addresses is due to the fact that he purchased part of it on his own.
