The Donovaly mountain pass is closed to vehicles longer than ten meters and the Príslop pass to vehicles longer than 12 meters. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) informs about this on its website zjazdnost.sk.
He warns of heavy snowfall in upper Považí, v in the Martina area and in Liptov, where the visibility of drivers is limited to 100 meters in places, and also in the locations of Horný Hričov, Dechtáre, Turany, Vrútky, Pastierske and Považský Chlmec. According to the SSC, snow tongues are formed on the road I/66 in the Besník saddle.
Icy snow is on the roads II. classes in the Partizánske area and at the Skýcov mountain pass. Road users also warn of falling rocks on the Donovaly pass from the 28th to the 29th kilometer and also on the Šturec mountain pass in the section from the 6th to the 13th kilometer.
According to the SSC, the mountain passes are mostly passable, the surface of the roads is covered with a layer of fresh, slushy or compacted snow. At the Veľké Pole, Cukmantel, Javorník, Podspády and Huty crossings, there is fresh to compacted snow four to five centimeters thick on the road. At the Skýcov crossing, there is icy snow on the road in places.
Routes I., II. and III. classes are passable, the road surface is mostly covered with snow. In mountainous areas and in the north of Slovakia, there is a layer of slushy or compacted snow on the roads. There is fresh snow on the roads of Upper Považie and Liptov. On road II/578 Between Skalka and Kremnica there is a layer of compacted snow five to ten centimeters thick. There is icy snow in places on the road II/593 Krnča – Partizánske.
A layer of fresh to slushy snow is located on D1 in the Martin, Turany area and on Liptov in the Liptovský Mikuláš, Liptovský Hrádek and Hyba areas. There is slushy to compacted snow of up to three centimeters on the D3 road in the Kysúc area and also on R3 in the Horná Štubňa area, on Orava and on R4 near Svidník, where the thickness of the slushy snow is up to one centimeter.
