President Donald Trump stated that the US could carry out another attack, if necessary, to consolidate its permanence in the country. In a press conference on the capture of Nicolás Maduro and the attack in Venezuela, Trump stated that the possibility is more distant, but not off the US radar.
“We are ready to make a second and bigger attack if we need to,” he says. “Other authorities in Venezuela must understand that what happened to Maduro could happen to them too.”
Trump cited US operations that were failed in the past, unlike the operation carried out this morning. “If you saw what I saw last night, you would be amazed. No Americans were killed and no American equipment was lost,” Trump says. “We have the best equipment in the world.”
