A plane carrying Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, arrived in the United States this Saturday (3). The Venezuelan dictator was captured by American forces in Caracas during an early morning operation.
The aircraft landed at Stewart Air National Guard Base in New York. Maduro is expected to face charges in Manhattan federal court on drug trafficking and weapons charges next week.
Donald Trump stated that the “transition will be safe, appropriate and sensible”.
He also published an American after being captured.
The couple was forcibly removed from their room during a major US military operation in Caracas in the early hours of Saturday.
