In October 2023, the shocking news of the death of only 25-year-old opera singer Patricia Janečková shook the Czech Republic and Slovakia. She left behind a grieving husband Vlastimila Burda (34), who, according to Czech information, is in love again. A Czech actress was supposed to win his heart.
Janečková became known to the public as the winner of the Talentmania competition. She fought breast cancer for a long time and determinedly. She struggled with an insidious diagnosis since January 2022, and a year later she announced that she had conquered the disease. However, the disease returned with even greater force. The talented artist tried to live life to the fullest and married a Czech actor at the end of June 2023. Although everyone hoped for their future together, fate arranged it differently and Patricia lost the unequal battle.
After her death, Vlastimil addressed his fans on the social network. “This heartbreaking pain is only partially alleviated by the feeling, rather the belief, that Paťka is really better now. He deserves only the best. She fought bravely, humbly, modestly and even with a joke and her beautiful smile. She was strong like few others. She never complained about anything during this insidious disease, she managed what even healthy people couldn’t manage and finally won,” the widower poured out his heart.
He was her support until her last breath. „She didn’t leave alone! She was, is and will continue to be sincerely loved, admired, inspiring and unforgettable. I am happy that I could accompany her to the very new beginning. It wasn’t easy, but it was wonderful. Thanks for you, Pati,” he beckoned to the sky.
Two years have passed since Janečkova’s death, and the actor has apparently overcome the greatest grief. A new partner started to appear by his side in the summer of 2025. Speculations were confirmed by a photo of their kiss, which they published at the end of the year.
