Trump says Venezuela’s vice president could pay a higher price than Maduro

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, issued a warning to the vice president of the Venezuelan regime, Delcy Rodríguez, after the capture of Nicolás Maduro.

“If she doesn’t do what is right, she will pay a very high price, probably greater than Maduro himself,” Trump told The Atlantic magazine this Sunday (4).

Trump has faced criticism from his most loyal supporter base. Thus, during the interview, he defended “regime change” in the South American country.

“You know, rebuilding and changing the regime, call it what you want, is better than the current situation. It can’t get any worse,” he said.

New threat over Greenland

Trump also reiterated his belief that the acquisition of Greenland is necessary for the defense of the United States.

“We need Greenland, for sure. We need it for defense,” he said.

This comes after Katie Miller, a Trump ally and wife of Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff for policy, posted on X an image of the map of Greenland superimposed on the American flag, writing: “COMING SOON.”
