Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro stated on Wednesday (7) that she witnessed Bolsonaro “asking God to take him” during an episode of intense suffering while receiving medical care at the DF Star hospital, in Brasília.
“I saw him asking God to take him, because he couldn’t take the pain he was feeling anymore”, highlighted Michelle in a conversation with journalists in front of the hospital. “Jair is a person who has become accustomed to living with pain since 2018, but three times in the hospital I saw him asking God to pick him up because he couldn’t take it.
The former president’s defense asks that the prison sentence served at the Federal Police superintendency headquarters in Brasília be converted into house arrest. Michelle reiterated her criticism of the delay in medical assistance and said that they will reapply for house arrest so that she can personally care for her husband.

“Survival mode”
The former first lady also reinforced that her husband has become accustomed to living with constant pain, entering a “survival mode”. “He got used to being in this zone of suffering, he works on it mentally, even to be alive, he has already switched on this survival mode”, he said.
Jair Bolsonaro suffered a fall during the early hours of Tuesday (3) at the Federal Police Superintendence. Since then, the former president has undergone neurological examinations to assess possible damage.
The former first lady reported that Jair did not remember whether the fall actually occurred in the early hours of the morning or during the previous night, having presented mental confusion after the fall.
The tests, which included CT and MRI, identified mild head trauma. However, Bolsonaro’s doctor, Brasil Caiado, said there was no cause for concern as no intracranial injuries were detected.
