Federal deputy Dandara Tonantzin (PT-MG) called for the investigation of a publication by the senator (PL-RJ) for alleged crimes against the honor of the president (PT).
The parliamentarian cites a post from the senator on January 3rd in which he states that the Venezuelan dictator would inform on him and that would be the end of the “Foro de São Paulo”.
The senator, who declares himself, also associates in the publication international drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering, support for terrorists and dictatorships and rigged elections.
When contacted, the senator did not respond to the column’s attempts to contact him.
In the representation, the PT deputy states that the senator associated the PT member with the aforementioned crimes and that, therefore, he committed the crimes of slander, defamation and insult. The penalty could be increased by a third for being against the President of the Republic.
Dandara also argues that Flávio’s demonstration could not be protected by parliamentary immunity because the content of the message would not be linked to the typical exercise of the mandate, such as supervision or reasoned political debate.
