Discover the store in the Algarve where you can eat two dishes for the price of one on Fridays

The restaurant at the IKEA store in Loulé is running a promotional campaign that allows customers to eat two dishes for the price of one on Fridays, in an initiative with a limited duration and valid at any time throughout the day. The action runs until June 26th and applies to identical meals ordered at the same time.

The measure is part of a strategy to boost the Swedish brand’s restaurant space in the Algarve and comes at a time when the flow of visitors to the Loulé store continues to follow the city’s strong tourist and commercial attractiveness.

According to the NiT portal, the campaign mechanics are straightforward: whoever orders a dish receives another like it at no additional cost. The initiative is available every Friday and does not impose time limits, which allows it to be used at both lunch and dinner.

According to the same source, the promotion covers the regular menu of IKEA restaurants, known for its diversity of proposals and affordable prices, a combination that has supported the growth of the brand’s restaurants in Portugal.

Among the available options, writes the publication, the most economical dish currently is rice with mixed vegetables, priced at 2.95 euros. This is joined by several versions of meatballs, available from 4.50 euros, accompanied by mash, cranberry jam and cream sauce.

The menu also includes chicken escalopes with French fries, francesinha, salmon loin, cod and pork shank, with prices ranging between 5.95 euros and 9.50 euros, remaining within the logic of complete meals at controlled prices.

Meatballs continue to lead orders

The meatballs remain the restaurant’s most emblematic product. According to the same source, in 2024 alone more than 21,000 units of this meal were sold in Portugal, despite the growing diversity of the menu.

In a statement cited by , those responsible for the chain emphasize that the objective is to offer “a tasty and affordable meal”, reinforcing the idea that the restaurant is an integral part of the IKEA experience and not just a complement to the visit to the store.

Loulé as a strategic scenario

The choice of Loulé to host one of the five IKEA stores in Portugal is not insignificant. According to the Vaga Mundos blog, the city is distinguished by its strong historical and cultural identity, visible in spaces such as the Municipal Market, the castle of Arab origin and the well-preserved historic center.

It should be noted that the proximity to Faro airport and the centrality in the Algarve make Loulé a frequent passing point for residents and tourists, factors that contribute to the high number of visitors to the local IKEA and the impact of campaigns like this.
