The waters of Slovak show business were stirred up by a review of the prices in Zuzana Strausz Plačkova’s new cafe in Donovaly. The barista paid €17.90 for three drinks in paper cups. It didn’t take long for the successful influencer to respond. “Every time I open a new coffee shop, there is always, always, always a review. And never a good one” she said in the beginning of her video, saying that people who don’t like her want to do numbers on her.
“This very mysterious person came in, ordered coffees, matcha and complained about the price. It’s on a hillside, so obviously it’s going to be a bit more expensive. I came to Donovaly with my Bratislava drink ticket, the same one I have everywhere, and I had to change it, because there is such a policy that you have to have the same prices as the other bars there,” explained Plačková.
“You can’t undercut those prices. It always has to be around that much. So I threw the 100 drink tickets I had brought into the trash and had to have new ones made. So about that much for the price. Always on those slopes, go to the Tatras, go somewhere else too, prices are always higher. It’s completely normal. Just as the prices in shopping centers are higher than in regular pubs, that is always a given. I won’t do anything about it,” she added in her statement.
Subsequently, Zuzana Kovačič Hanzelová and others publicly stood up for Plačková model and influencer Eva Cifrová. You can read the journalist’s statement. When Cifrová watched the videos published by the well-known businesswoman, she felt as if she had returned to the time when her career was booming. “I met something very, very similar to her now, and it disgusted me so much that I actually lost myself. I wanted to have my own peace, my own life, and it’s not for everyone,” said the blonde.
“For me, she is a strong personality, an incredibly strong woman. She is a capable businesswoman. And he has my admiration for being able to withstand the evil of those people. I couldn’t stand it,” she confided. As an example, she cited the period when she was in Playboy magazine, which was a very short chapter in her life, but according to her, many people pigeonholed her as a stupid blonde. Cifrová thinks that they probably look at Plačková in the same way, who, according to her, does not deserve it.
She invited followers to look at the results of the influencer, where she has come and what she has accomplished. “Look at how she’s grown as a person. She’s completely different. She’s a mature woman who’s normal. I think she has a good heart too.” she said on her Instagram. She underlined that building a successful business involves hard work, often tears, trials and errors that no one sees. “Zuzka has achieved so much that she deserves a normal bow. I’m sorry if someone doesn’t see it just out of envy,” she added.
Cifrová felt sorry that Plačková was catching hate. “I don’t normally understand it, whether we are such a stupid nation or what and we don’t indulge. If you don’t indulge someone, you aren’t indulged either. This means that you carry some evil within yourself and then attract that to yourself,” she emphasized.
“I am such that I give everything to everyone. Everyone has their own life, their own path, their own decisions. You decide the direction your life takes. She decided to get to where she is now, but she has done so much hard work that we don’t see, we don’t know about her, that we can’t even imagine,” continued Cifrová.
The fact that Eva Cifrová publicly stood up for the uncrowned queen of Instagram had consequences for her. “A lot of people stopped following me for supporting Plačková, which I don’t mind at all, on the contrary. They were probably unsavory people,” she reacted at the end of the week to the sudden change she noticed on the profile. The model continues to stand by her words.
“I have such an outflow of people here. It didn’t surprise me, I guess it was supposed to be like that. It’s strange that all you have to do is express your support to someone and immediately the person stops following you, despite maybe liking 90% of the things you do. And for something like that, that I support someone who is smart, works hard and is successful, he will stop following you,” she added in the VIDEO, which you can watch at the beginning of the article.
