The Municipality of Silves promotes, between the 13th and 15th of February, another edition of the Orange Flavor Weekend, an initiative that dedicates three days to the gastronomy associated with the Laranja de Silves, highlighting “the unique quality characteristics of the queen of the orchard and other citrus fruits produced in the municipality of Silves”.
As part of the 10th edition of the Orange Flavored Weekend, the municipality informs that restaurants in the city of Silves can join the initiative until January 19th, and must formalize the registration by filling out the appropriate form and sending it to the email address.
To participate, it is mandatory for each restaurant to provide customers, during the three days of the event, with a main dish and a dessert made with orange, as well as the inclusion of at least one drink produced in the municipality on the menu, namely Silves Wine or beer.
The event, associated with the Mostra Silves Capital da Laranja, is a reference in the promotion and valorization of the Laranja de Silves, also contributing to boosting local tourist demand during the low season, highlights the Municipality.
The appeal calls for the participation of restaurant establishments, inviting them to join in boosting local commerce and celebrating the Orange of Silves, considered the queen of the orchard.
The registration form and participation rules are available on the Municipality of Silves website, and the application period ends at 11:59 pm on January 19th.
